Biographie
Dr. Andreas Burgdorf ist seit September 2019 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am TMDT an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal tätig.
Herr Dr. Burgdorf studierte Informatik mit dem Anwendungsfach Medizin an der RWTH Aachen Universität. Dort war er von Oktober 2016 bis August 2019 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Cybernetics Lab IMA & IfU tätig, wo er verschiedene Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte zum Einsatz von maschinellem Lernen und natürlicher Sprachverarbeitung in den Bereichen Logistik, Telekommunikation und Produktion durchführte, bevor er zur Bergischen Universität Wuppertal wechselte. Dort promovierte er im April 2025 zum Thema „A Novel Approach to Semantic Mapping through a Documentation-Centric Methodology”.
Er hat 2023 die Leitung von KI4BUW übernommen und beschäftigt sich in diesem Rahmen mit unterschiedlichen Aspekten der KI-Kompetenzstärkung an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal.
