innocam.NRW - Competence Network for Automated and Connected Mobility
Developing reliable, safe, and environmentally friendly mobility is one of the key social and technological challenges of our time. Against the backdrop of digital transformation, automated and connected mobility (AVM) offers enormous potential for driving the mobility transition in passenger and freight transport.
As a central and neutral platform for all stakeholders involved in the implementation of AVM in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond, the automated and connected mobility competence network innocam.NRW serves as a bridge between research, industry, politics, public administration, and civil society. At these interfaces, innocam.NRW pools expertise and creates the necessary synergies to bring complex systems into practical application.
The goal is to strengthen the state’s innovation capacity through targeted knowledge transfer and interdisciplinary cooperation, to advance the implementation of AVM, and to position North Rhine-Westphalia as a leading location for automated and connected mobility solutions.
The TMDT is responsible for capacity development in municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia that play a central role in the mobility transition. In addition to orientation counseling, municipalities are supported through training programs in building relevant competencies for the planning, introduction, and implementation of AVM.
