KI-Makerspace: Applied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Wuppertal

Conveyed AI Competencies

The KI-Makerspace at the University of Wuppertal is an innovative concept that aims to systematically promote the AI competence of students and teachers. By combining training, project support and the freedom to develop one's own ideas, it enables the direct and effective integration of AI methods into teaching.

Open Seats in the AI Makerspace

With the support of AI specialists and technical resources, both experienced and novice teachers can implement AI projects and integrate them into the curriculum. The AI Makerspace also serves as a platform for minimum viable product development and supports the creation of AI startups.

One of the main goals of the AI Makerspace is to support other faculties and chairs in integrating artificial intelligence or AI-based methods into their lecture courses. Targeted training courses, individually tailored learning portfolios and project-based learning will not only promote the understanding and ability to apply AI technologies, but also enable a practical, interdisciplinary integration of AI into the various teaching areas.

More information about the project can be found on the project website.
