Institute for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation

Dr. Moritz Weiß, M.Sc.

Scientific Researcher

Area of Research:

  • Computer Vision
  • physics-informed modelling
  • high-performance computing (HPC)

Biography

Moritz Weiß has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation at the University of Wuppertal since March 2026.

He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Wuppertal in physics, specializing in solid-state physics. He then joined the department as an external doctoral candidate as part of an industrial doctoral program in industrial computer tomography, which he completed in 2025. His doctoral studies sparked his interest in computer vision and the associated requirements for high-performance computing (HPC) systems.
