VARele: Virtual and Augmented Reality in Electrical Energy Supply
In collaboration with the Chair of Electrical Power Supply Engineering, Energieforen Leipzig GmbH, and Horstmann GmbH, supported by network operators and associated partners, TMDT is working on the development of a virtual energy system. This system aims to depict and make interactive the fundamental types of facilities and processes within the distribution network at high and medium voltage levels using Virtual Reality. The focus is on a detailed representation of substations, intelligent local grid stations in Smart Grid systems, and transmission systems.
Through the virtual energy system, the goal is to create relevant cooperative learning situations that contribute to the optimal and efficient training of professionals and leaders in the energy industry, particularly in the areas of education and professional development.
