In the DigiData project, the TMDT will explore and establish a new form of interdisciplinary knowledge and method transfer within universities. Starting from the people who drive digitization, data science and artificial intelligence, the project aims at a horizontal and intra-university transfer to people from other disciplines who do not yet fully use the achievements of these fields.

The focus is on the transfer of knowledge and methods in an enabling process similar to a research project, in which a data scientist supports the transfer partners in the use of digitization and data science in their field and trains them in the effective use of these tools. While traditional research collaborations focus on the first part, the project focuses on the second part. The TMDT also aims to integrate the partners into a new AI ecosystem at the University of Wuppertal, in which the further qualification of the partners is promoted in a structured way.  In this way, DigiData contributes to successful digitization at the University of Wuppertal and serves as a model for a new form of interdisciplinary knowledge and method transfer.
