Biography

Dr. Kathrin Krosch joined the Institute for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation at the University of Wuppertal in September 2019 as a research associate.

She previously led an interdisciplinary research group on "Knowledge Engineering" at the Cybernetics Lab IMA & IfU at RWTH Aachen University. Dr. Krosch studied linguistics and communication science as well as German and general literature. In 2016, she received her PhD from the Faculty of Philosophy at RWTH on the topic "On the Way to the Stranger. Virtual Travel to New Zealand in Reportages of German Public Television".

In recent years, Dr. Krosch has been working on the user-centered consideration and design of knowledge-centered processes in socio-technical systems. She led publicly funded projects on intercultural and socially responsible technology education of engineers as well as the development and management of interdisciplinary collaborations. She also conducted research on the quality of life and sustainability requirements of urban urban development, with a particular focus on a participatory approach of society, community, and business.
