Biography
Dr. André Pomp joined the Institute for Technologies and Management of Digital Transformation at the University of Wuppertal as a research associate in September 2019.
His research focuses on semantic data integration based on flexible and extensible knowledge graphs, data analysis and machine learning, industrial natural language processing, industrial information extraction, and the construction of modern software architectures in various domains.
Dr. Pomp studied computer science with a minor in business administration at RWTH Aachen University. Areas of specialization during his studies were distributed systems, communication technologies, IT security and data mining. From January 2015 to August 2019, Dr. Pomp was a research assistant & PhD student at the Cybernetics Lab IMA & IfU at RWTH Aachen University. There he took over the leadership of the Cognitive Computing & eHealth research group in April 2018. In June 2020, he received his PhD on the topic of "Bottom-up Knowledge Graph-based Data Management" at the same institution.
In recent years, Dr. Pomp has conducted numerous research and development projects in the areas of logistics and mobility, smart city, telecommunications and production. He was particularly involved in the development of suitable integration architectures and the use of machine learning methods.
